The Abu Garcia REVO Premier has been selected by Field and Stream's March issue as the fishing best of the best for 2008.
The REVO Premier is the lightest aluminum low profile reel on the market. This reel has been the reel of choice by professional anglers since it's introduction in 2007.
A new aluminum alloy makes this the lightest low-profile casting reel anywhere. This reel is tough enough to tackle trophy walleye. Strength comes from the single-piece aluminum alloy frame and crank side cover along with an aircraft-grade aluminum spool with Infinity ll™ spool design. The Revo Premier features a total of six bearings -- three stainless steel, two HPCR™ and one roller bearing. A linear magnetic brake system minimizes backlash, and the adjustable Carbon Matrix Drag™ system has no start-up resistance to offer consistent performance throughout the fight. The market price is about 259$US but have a look on Ebay, you could find one for about 180$US.
